Artist Statement
My work based on the fact that I have visited places in Cuba where querilla warfare has taken place, where young people of few resources have direct contact with nature as well as a direct link to the simple things, which give more meaning to life. And for the rest of the audience, I hope that this serves as a window into these spaces. My strategies are an imitation of nature and its ways of working, its effects, and its emphasis on certain elements. What has resulted is that my work has become an introspection made to mobilize people, to improve their relationship with the environment.
