Artist Statement
My work begins with a reflection that triggers my interests in the construction of the poetry that makes my personal pretexts work to support a conceptual structure. It comments on social meanings, invoked as a type of metaphor where the means of expression are patterns and operations, related to the essential minimalist aesthetic.
The aim of looking for a certain gesture has become something latent in my work. This operates semantically to rewrite the object, previously perceived through its significant theatrical presence. As an artistic practice I do a kind of game, sometimes with a cynical approach, in which arguments about social nature entail the existence of man from the aesthetic standards that make my symbolic production. It is like a visual maneuver in which the bases of meaning transform from a representational strategy to a conceptual one.
